Abstract :
Reviews the current state of systolic CAD design tools and defines the structure of a Systolic Algorithm Design Environment (or SADE). Current work at Newcastle on a prototype environment based on a recurrence mapping kernal (DTAGS) is considered briefly. Finally, the authors indicate how a number of extensions to the design process (such as array libraries, domain (de-) composition, non-linear timing and allocation, and dependence graph colouring) can be easily integrated into the system
