Abstract
A band-notched ultra-wideband (UWB) circular slot antenna with parasitic strips free from interference with existing wireless local area network (WLAN) systems is proposed. The antenna has an indented circular stub and arc- shaped parasitic patch embedded inside the circular slot. The desired band-notched UWB operation can be obtained by choosing the size of the arc-shaped parasitic strips cut in the circular stub. The proposed antenna has advantages of low cost, compact in size and easy design. Details of the proposed design and experimental results of the constructed antennas are presented.
