Abstract :
Summary form only given. We presented a high-order mode VCSEL with etched nano-holes. The well-controlled positioning of nano-holes enables us to select a preferable high-order mode. Further optimization of the position and the number of holes would give us a stable single high order VCSEL with a large active area, which would be useful for high speed LANs as well as for optical data storage
