Abstract :
This paper proposes the algorithms to detect partial discharge in distribution equipments using RMS and maximum of charges of discharge. In electrical equipments, one of problems of dielectric strength is lightning surge. To test the performance of the proposed approach, the data sets of partial discharge for distribution equipments are recorded and monitored by using a partial discharge monitoring system. The result reveals that suitability and accuracy of test methods for different equipments; ex., electric field test method and magnetic field test method, and clearly describe that efficiency and accuracy of the proposed methods and algorithms for partial discharge.
