Abstract :
To catch the information of the faults and to distinguish them as well is a challenging problem in the intelligent auto-reclosing sets of the direct current traction power supply system. The transient fault and the permanent fault can be equivalent to the arc short and the metal short. Based on transmission line theory and the difference of the energy attenuation speed under the two states, the theoretical method to distinguish the transient fault and the permanent fault is established. By B-spline binary wavelet, the characteristics of the faults are found out, and the result is satisfactory
