Abstract :
A certain method for the direct coupling of circuit equations representing additional machine parameters to a two-dimensional transient finite element approach, which takes fully account of non-linear material properties as well as rotor movement, is used for the time-domain analysis of different squirrel cage induction motor designs with semi closed or totally closed stator slots
