Abstract :
In this paper, we propose improved algorithms for high order modulation systems, applicable to the revising DVB-S 2.0 standard. This paper presents a new 4-sampled zero crossing DC offset compensation algorithm. Simulation results show the improvement in jitter performance, reduction of compensation time, and gain of bit error rate (BER) compared with other algorithms. Simultaneously, a robust digital timing recovery scheme is proposed. By comparative simulation in low SNR and large DC offset environments, the proposed timing recovery algorithm shows enhanced performance in jitter variance and SNR gain by 4 times and 1dB, respectively.
