Abstract :
Increasing environmental issues require high efforts in the development of human capital in the area of alternative technologies including electric vehicles. In this paper two courses on electrical vehicles are presented. The first one is developed for the student of electrical engineering programs at Delft University of Technology, Netherlands. Within the course a large semester project “Electric Mobility 2020” with eight twelve hours long tutorials was developed. The course addresses practical issues of modern electrical vehicles. A tutorial `Vehicle dynamics and energy storage systems´ is presented in details. The second course “Energy and energy storage in electric cars” is industrial course, developed for professionals from electro-mechanical industry. The course gives insight into the topics such as dynamics of electric vehicles, energy storage systems and energy management. Practicing engineers and technicians participate in this course completely over internet, which brings advantages of time and place independent learning.
