  • Abstract
    Establishes analogies between the analysis of electrical circuits and of magnetic fields. These analogies are not established on the ground of duality principles; rather, mathematical formulations of electromagnetic fields and electrical circuits are studied, with the aim of defining adequate electrical circuits where the formulation is numerically equivalent to the FEM formulation of the electromagnetic field. Unknown quantities in the magnetic field (vector potential in the nodes) correspond, in this equivalence, to the unknown quantities in the electrical circuit (essentially potential in the nodes of the equivalent circuit). The general theory is developed, and numerical tests are shown for two cases of linear Poisson´s and diffusion equations
