  • Abstract
An efficient simulation method for over-sampled Delta-Sigma modulators is presented. This method is based on partitioning the modulator circuit into linear and nonlinear blocks. A behavioral model is used for the nonlinear block while a fast sampled data technique is used for the solution of the linear circuit equations. This technique converts the solution of the linear circuit equations into one matrix-vector multiplication per clock phase instead of numerical integration. This approach allows the designer to investigate the effect of circuit non-idealities and different types of quantizers quickly and efficiently
