Abstract :
In this paper, eight energy harvesting circuits using only passive devices and diodes are focused. The performance of each circuit is compared in circuit experiments and PSIM simulations. The experiments are carried out using a very low power and low voltage output piezoelectric generator vibrated steadily at low frequency such as ambient vibration. Additionally, the equivalent simulation was carried out to discuss the effect of the parasitic components of devices. The obtained results show that the effects of the on resistance of the diode and the leakage resistance of the output capacitor used in each circuit have much influence on the performance under very low input power.
