Abstract :
The step transitions between rectangular and circular waveguides using rectangular intermediate steps have shown to be a good solution for matching these two different types of guides, from both electrical performance and size point of view. The electrical behaviour can be analyzed very accurately, as has been shown, with the algorithm used in the paper, in a very reasonable time, since the optimization of the integration and the separation of the frequency dependent and frequency independent parts of the problem have been included in the software. Also multistepped transitions, with two or more steps, and resonant structures can be analyzed very accurately as has been shown
