Capacity improvement of CDMA systems using M-ary code shift keying

A number of companies in the United States, such as QualComm, Millicom, and others, have proposed CDMA as a means of increasing the capacity of cellular systems, and have claimed that significant increases are possible. CDMA is not normally particularly bandwidth efficient.
