Abstract :
The amplitude and phase of photoacoustic (PA) signals from a thin plate, pure water, water including ultrafine particles, a 15% solution of Na2HPO4 in water, and a turbid solution were observed by a piezo-PA system as a function of the modulation frequency and temperature. In the case of a thin plate, the PA signals exhibit two kinds of temperature dependences according to the modulation frequency. In the case of the liquid samples, the ultrafine particles are found to enhance the change of PA signals due to the phase transition
