Abstract
Dielectric spheres of different radius are placed in front of a
-plane sectoral surface wave horn antenna. The radiation characteristics of the horn are changed due to the position of the sphere. An improvement in directivity of the antenna is observed. The side lobe levels are considerably reduced. The results are quite encouraging. The composite system can be used as an improved feed to the paraboloidal system.
