Abstract :
This paper describes a method to incoherently combine multiple laser beams into a single spatial mode with the use of stimulated Brillouin scattering in a long multi-mode fiber. The experiments have shown that the Stokes beams generated in a common multimode fiber are independent of each other in every respect, except for the near-perfect spatial overlap in intensity profiles corresponding to that of the fundamental fiber mode
