Abstract :
Roll vendor selection for a large-scale steel-iron enterprise in China is studied under the uncertain decision making case. Its selection process is formulated as a multiple criteria decision making problem. The interval number analytic hierarchy process is adopted to solve the problem that the decision maker´s preference is fuzzy owing to the complex purchasing context and his limited judgment capability. Moreover, to derive the weight from the interval number comparison matrix, a new weight estimation model is suggested based on the weight feasible region and satisfactory consistency of the interval number comparison matrix, which can supply the lower weight value, the possible weight value and the upper weight value. The model is solved via the genetic algorithm. Its availability is exemplified via the case analysis
