Abstract :
The Ground Control Points (Ground Control Points, GCPs) is an important baseline data of Remote Sensing Image correction. The quantity, distribution and accuracy of GCPs play an important role in correcting Remote Sensing Image. There are many Human factors may influence the quantity, distribution and accuracy of selected GCPs. To achieve scientific selection of GCPs we should define the concept of "uniformly distribution". It is the affected area (control area) through which to measure ldquouniformly distributionrdquo of GCPs. In fact, Because of the difference of terrain Location of GCPs and so on, the affected area of each GCPS is different. In order to make the selection of GCPs more scientific and build the relationship between the quantity and uniform distribution, This paper proposes to use Voronoi diagram as a measurement of GCPpsilas affected area by calculating the area of Voronoi diagram of each selected GCPs.
