  • Abstract
    This paper is concerned with a brief survey of oversampled Σ-Δ A/D and D/A converters for digital audio applications. In this survey, various A/D and D/A converters are compared with regard to their performance characteristics and complexity. These comparisons lead to the introduction of alternative modulators with improved performance characteristics, particularly with regard to the achievable S/N ratio
