Abstract :
Summary form only given. A new horizontal profiling ADCP achieves 1 cm/s velocity standard deviation with 2 second averaging interval. The results of data from several locations are discussed and the performance of this instrument is discussed in detail. The results show that this instrument offers the ability to measure very low velocities in near real-time, allowing high spatial and temporal resolution to be achieved.
