Abstract
Based on the characteristic function method, new expressions of exact bit error probabilities are derived in closed-form for binary direct sequence code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) in flat Nakagami fading channel adopting a straight forward method. The method is simple and good for any arbitrary pulse shape. The results from exact analysis are then compared with those obtained through modeling the multiple access interference as Gaussian noise, for which also a new expression is given for error probability.
