Abstract :
A hybrid slot and inverted L antenna is proposed to transfer a ´harmful´ metal bezel to a useful antenna part. The antenna covers two bands, which are GPS (1.575 GHz) and WLAN (2.4-4.484 GHZ) frequency bands. To validate the concept, a prototype antenna was manufactured and measured on a FR4 board. The results agree well with simulations.
