Abstract :
This paper designs medium access control (MAC) protocols for wireless ad hoc network with the theory of stochastic fictitious play (SFP). We define a general class of games, called medium access control game, where each node maximizes its own payoff by selecting channel access probability. maintain the network to a stable state, higher performance can be guaranteed. By specifying different parameters in the utility function, we can get the balance of system efficiency and fairness of radio resource allocation. Fulfilling the condition of supermodular game, we can prove there exists Nash equilibrium in our game. An algorithm is given to realize our design and simulation results prove the effectiveness and fairness of our proposed algorithm.
