Abstract
Electric arc welding can be done using different technologies and almost each of them requires the welding power converter to form the arc in a way, specific to the technology. Up-to-date power converters needed for a controlled arc-creating are based on state-of-the-art power- and microelectronic devices. This makes it possible to build intelligent multi-function welding power converters with a high degree of user-friendliness. This publication presents the results of researching and developing a converter of this nature.
