How intelligent KBS, expert, real-time systems will provide the key to integrating information and material flow of factory 2001

Effectively integrating and applying the use of intelligent systems in manufacturing and systems environments to support the running of factory 2001 in relation to material and information flow represents the working requirements that have to be most effectively balanced to optimize the production processes. However to deliver such optimisation all stages of the manufacturing process from design, planning, and scheduling through to the manufacturing and machining processes need to be taken into account.
