Abstract :
A hybrid antenna for millimeter-wave applications providing more than 13 dB of gain over 8 GHz of impedance bandwidth has been presented. All the dimensions of the antenna (excluding the ADR) were chosen so that it can be realized through a standard PCB fabrication process, making it a low-cost alternative to a foundry dependant antenna. Future work will include prototyping and investigating the possibility of creating an antenna array to further enhance the gain and perhaps add steering capability. Further simulated and measured results will be discussed during the presentation.
