Technology and organization for factory automation: experiences, needs and requirements

In order to understand how small and medium sized Swedish companies experience new technology in a management perspective, a questionnaire was sent to 200 Swedish companies. The main objective with the questionnaire was to investigate the introduction and use of new technology related to management and organization oriented issues. This paper will summarize the main results from this study. The paper starts by giving the conditions and motives for the study. After that, the results from the questionnaire are presented. The paper ends with a discussion of the most interesting and important results
