Semantic boundary description from range and intensity images

Presents a new approach for the extraction of a semantic description of edges from range and intensity data. The approach is based on initial filtering and labelling of depth and intensity discontinuities, followed by a relaxation process. The viability of the approach is demonstrated by evaluation with synthetic and real data, acquired by an active range finding system and video camera
