Abstract :
We demonstrate a thermo optic wavelength tunable filter (TOWTF) with a tuning range of > 25 nm that covers the gain-shifted EDFA band (L band, 1570-1610 nm), where our polymer has a low transmission loss. We achieved this by employing more heater power than previously reported. We fabricated the arrayed waveguide grating (AWG) demultiplexer on a silicon substrate using silicone resin as the waveguide material
