Abstract :
Summary form only given. We described a compact and large-scale arrayed waveguide grating (AWG) fabricated using super-high contrast planar light circuit (PLC) technologies. The AWG module was reduced to 1/5 the size of a conventionally designed AWG. We also presented a 256 channel AWG with a 25 GHz spacing, which has low crosstalk and polarization-insensitive characteristics
