Abstract :
The paper presents the complete control circuit of a modified DC chopper operating from a resonant DC link. The use of a resonant link allows zero-voltage switching which helps to minimize the switching loss in the chopper. The control circuit employs discrete pulse-width modulation for varying the output of the chopper. The paper presents experimental waveforms obtained on the control circuit and power circuit. Frequency spectra of the load voltage and load current are also given
