Abstract :
This paper has presented a novel control approach of shunt active power filter (SAPF) under the condition of unsymmetrical and non-sinusoidal source voltage. Two parts are included: one is the determination of compensating current reference of SAPF and the other is predictive current control for SAPF to track the current reference. The simulation and experimental results validated the proposed approach. In addition to SAPF, other types of active power filter can employ this approach.
