Abstract
GPSR [17] [19] is one of the most emerging protocols in MANET. But some limitations kept it from widespread implementation. Absence of obstacles is a major requirement in GPSR packet forwarding. Finding out the optimal path also one of the basic concerns in the deployment of GPSR. We study the GPSR protocol and found some problems of it. We propose two novel schemes that (i) Overcoming the limitations of the influences of obstacles and (ii) Optimal Path Determination for better routing choice.
