Abstract :
A new linear antenna model (Accessible Antenna Package, APACK) is presented. APACK calculates electric field strength, complete antenna gain patterns for 16 commonly used linear antennas. It has been shown that APACK outputs agree very closely with NEC for antenna patterns, and APACK is very easy to use and substantially faster than NEC. APACK is also a propagation model and agrees very closely with CCIR and other smooth-earth ground wave models for the basic transmission loss predictions.
