Abstract

Integrated examination management system (IEMS) has become trend and future direction for future examination management in China. As there are many and versatile kinds of examinations, to develop a ubiquitous IEMS is a great technical challenge. The numerous legacy systems and evolving requirements of examinations make such a system more complex. Existing systems focus on one phase of IEMS and they are developed based on different platforms and tools. They are proprietary systems and lack flexibility. This paper provides a large-scale IEMS based on computer supported cooperative work (CSCW) using service-oriented conception. This system solves the problems by Web services and related technology. Practices in several examinations prove the feasibility of the system
