            Abstract : 
In this paper, a synthesis method by using genetic algorithm is introduced to design cross-coupled bandpass resonator filters. The method using genetic algorithms is a global optimization method, and it does not need a proper initial value. It has good convergence, and two examples are shown. One is a none-cross-coupled filter; the other is a cross-coupled filter. A 4-order bandpass filter whose center- frequency is 5.8 GHz, and the bandwidth is 30 MHz is designed to prove the effectiveness of the method.
