Abstract :
The Wigner distribution is briefly introduced, and its applicability to defect characterization is discussed. The high resolution of the Wigner distribution in the time-frequency domain is shown to be useful for characterizing the waveforms from defects in concrete. Forward-scattered ultrasonic waves are employed as the signal for the characterization of defects
