Abstract :
In order to plan, manage, coordinate, and control the concurrent design process of CAD/CAPP effectively, this paper proposes a Petri net based CAD/CAPP concurrent design process model as well as its abstract process model. The proposed model has been validated using the Petri net based simulation tool - HPSim. Its characteristics are then discussed and four design process modes are described
