Multiscale color image enhancement

Nowadays there is a rapid increase in the applications of color video media. This has resulted in a growing interest in digital color image enhancement and restoration techniques. The author specifically addresses the enhancement of digital video images. Most image degradations associated with these kind of images (blur and poor contrast) are luminance related. Color defects are often negligible in unprocessed video images. The method presented here enhances the luminance contrast of a color image by using its color attributes
