Abstract :
A device for line focus generation (acoustic axicon) of arbitrary chosen focus length is presented. This result is achieved by applying one set of piezoelectrical transducers. Line focus generation is due to the surface acoustic wave (SAW) propagation on the nonflat surfaces of solids with cylindrical symmetry rather than due to the conversion of these waves into bulk acoustic waves (BAWs) in liquids
