Abstract :
The paper presents a model of Parlay X gateway used for evaluation of its performance. The model considers traffic of different priorities generated by the service providers and the network which have to be served. It takes into account the distributed architecture of the Parlay X gateway and applies mechanisms for admission control and load balancing to prevent overloading. The gateway utilization is formalized mathematically. Simulations are used to evaluate the performance.
