Abstract :
In this paper we summarize recent advances on the development of implantable coils and antennas for a retinal prosthesis to restore partial vision to the blind. Advantages and disadvantages of coils and small antennas are investigated as well as methods that have been successfully used for the design of prototypes of such systems.
