Abstract :
In this paper, a numerical approach to the transient analysis of the multi-section Wilkinson power divider is presented. The approach bases on the modified central difference (MCD) method, in which the boundary treatment consisted of a signal flow graph is introduced for a junction with an isolation resistor. The power division and isolation of the multi-section power divider are demonstrated by the time domain simulation. Additionally, it is also shown that the S-parameters are easily obtained from the pulse responses. The simulated results agree with those of the other simulator.
