Abstract :
A very efficient IP paging delivery solution is presented based on a new multicast protocol, geopaging. This efficiency is determined by number of messages sent in both wireless access and core networks. Reduction of signaling is achieved using a distance-based dynamic location update strategy combined with multicast. In addition, geopaging may help to make seamless the IP handover procedure.
