Abstract :
For good sharing and using of grid resources, resource model has become one of important research problems in grid computing. This paper reviews the mechanism and architecture of resource model from hyper topology space, and researches how to describe resources, abstract resources and provide unified system images. And then a formal model of grid resources with three layers, character information layer, character processing layer and functions layer, is presented. Each layer has different forms and topology structures and can be divided to several sub-layers again. Upper layer can be formed from lower one by the proposed method of clustering reactions. Analyses show that this approach could enhance the usability, modularity, transparency and automation of grid resource management system
