Abstract
This paper presents a structure ideal for harsh environments such as RFID forklift and warehouse applications. It provides both good axial ratio and return loss bandwidth suitable for any of the common UHF RFID bands including the 902-928 MHz bandwidth used in North America. In each case the patch is tuned for the appropriate band. The antenna is currently in production and variations of the design are operational in a number of warehouse settings.
