Abstract :
This paper presented a simple approach to implementing the 2nd-order absorbing boundary condition (ABC) in the FETI-DPEM (dual primal finite element tearing and interconnecting method) without changing the major framework of the method. As a result, the accuracy of the FETI-DPEM method in 3D open-region analysis is significantly improved. Numerical results are provided to validate the implementation and demonstrate the improved performance associated with the 2nd-order ABC.
