Abstract :
The author presents an illustration of the operational background of an impact matrix printhead. Then a realistic model for a typical clapper-type actuator is described. Furthermore, a new control scheme for improving the dynamic behaviour of the actuator in impact printing is discussed and some theoretical studies show the validity of the approach
