Abstract :
In an Optical Burst Switched (OBS) network, the optical wavelength may transverse a number of optical elements which introduce linear impairments. The aim of this paper is to study the TCP over OBS performance, taking into consideration the influence of the physical linear impairments. More specifically the blocking probability and TCP throughput in terms of time is evaluated.
