Abstract :
This study has demonstrated a novel antenna design of the penta-band folded antenna. By utilizing a stacked multi-layer metal sheet design, a good antenna performance can be easily achieved . The total size of the proposed antenna is around 22times8times6 mm3. The impedance bandwidths of penta-band operating mode are satisfied, including GSM850/GSM900/DCS/PCS/WCDMA bands. Furthermore, good radiation performance has also been observed. This antennas have potential applications in cellular communication devices.
